Since Georgie Quinn’s mother died after a brief illness, the highlight of her life has become “jogger stalking” every morning with her roommates Tess and Cat. Stuck running the senior center her mother founded in Newport, RI, until a replacement director is found, Georgie dreams of returning to her glamorous life in Atlanta. As that life begins to unravel, she discovers a whole new one in Newport where the jogger turns out to be sexy detective and tree hugger Nathan Caldwell. Determined to get her mind off her many problems—including a possible threat to her own health—Georgie indulges in what she intends to be a no-holds-barred one-night stand with Nathan. Unfortunately, Nathan has other ideas and sets out to have a relationship with her. Tess, on the run from an abusive husband, and Cat, who raised her younger brother and sister, hook up with Nathan’s brothers, Ben, an injured Iraqi war veteran, and Ian, a single-father and talented musician. Add a zany cast of seniors who seem determined to drive Georgie slowly mad with their never-ending needs and comparisons to her sainted mother, and you’ve got the ingredients for a fast-paced, often comical, emotional journey that leads Georgie straight to the home of her heart.

"It's a rare treat that you get three gorgeous romances in one story but Marie Force has achieved that with Georgia On My Mind. Ms. Force has seamlessly woven these stories into one magical novel. Each couple is drastically different with their own issues and smoking hot chemistry. This story has a bit of suspense, plenty of humor and lots of romance. Georgia On My Mind is a keeper!" —Joyfully Reviewed.

Georgie temporarily left her dream job to be with her mother in the last stages of breast cancer and then keep the senior center open until a new director could be found. Along the way she acquired 2 roommates who became best friends. Their morning delight was jogger stocking the gorgeous guy who jogged by like clockwork each morning. Georgie and hot jogger meet during a recycling argument (yes I'm aware styrofoam isn't recyclable, this is fiction not a recycling guide) and then slowly - then heatedly - get to know each other. Her friends Cat and Tess meet Nathan's brothers. All couples go hot and heavy to back off I'm not ready back to hot and heavy again. A nice romance involving 3 couples so it stays interesting. A fun read with an HEA. I will read more of Marie Force's books

Georgia has moved home to Rhode Island to take care of her dying mother who eventually passes away from breast cancer. Georgia ends up replacing her mom at the Senior Center until a permanent person can be found so she could go back to her high fashion job in Georgia. In the beginning she was not happy that she had to do this and be around the seniors but as time went she came to love and care for them. Along the way she become romantically involve with Nathan an man she and her friends use to watch daily as he would jog by their home. Though the main story is about Georgia and Nathan they are two other romantic stories going on. Georgia roommates Tess who is clearly running from something or someone gets involve with Nathan veteran brother Bennett and her other roommate Cat (Catherine) falls for Nathan other brother Ian. Though I am not crazy about more than one love story going on in a book Ms. Force handled it with ease and precision so at no time did I feel lost with the various characters. Very wonderful heartwarming three stories.
Those of you who follow my reviews know that I am a fan of Marie Force's stories and Georgia On My Mind didn't disappoint. Unlike the other stories from this author I've read this is a standalone novel. It centers around Georgia, a woman struggling to come to terms with her mother's death, and Nathan, a local detective and the youngest of six brothers.

I loved Georgia (Georgie) and Nathan. It was easy to understand her struggle with her life, family, and her developing relationship with Nathan. And as for Nathan...well he was pretty amazing book boyfriend material. He had his flaws, but is one of those people who has so much passion behind what they do that it's easy to forgive them when they go overboard with something.

As with most of Marie Force's other books, there was more than one story going on. We not only got to follow the romance of Nathan and Georgie, but also that of two of Nathan's brothers with Georgie's two roommates. While I enjoyed the other two romances, I felt it drew the focus away from Nathan and Georgie. It is, however, a common theme in Ms. Force's books.

The editing was on point and other than the issues I mentioned above, the story had a good flow to it.

I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a good romance and doesn't mind multiple point of view changes.
Three women leading very different lives coming from very different pasts end up as roommates turned into best friends. The book follows the girls and their relationships with three very different brothers.

Because it was essentially three books in one, the stories progressed quickly and I never got bored. I had a few issues with a couple of the heroines and their reasons for being so reluctant to get involved with amazing men who cared about them. Occasionally I got so frustrated I had to put the book down for a while. Interestingly, I had no issues whatsoever with the brothers.

All in all, a pleasant read that was a nice diversion for a while.
This is a wonderful love story, but the very best thing about it is the concern for the Senior population. This is a growing problem for the Senior population, not having enough to do to keep up a active life. Georgia's mother has died and to help with expenses in keeping her mother's home, she advertised for roommates and found the two best. Cat runs a popular nightclub and Tess is an emergency room nurse. Georgia is looking for a replacement director of activities for the Senior center her mother created. Georgie has a job back in Georgia that she loves and misses, so finding someone to take over is essential so she can get back to her own life. Nathan jogs into the lives of the ladies literally, but he has eyes only for Georgie. He finally confronts her about recycling at the Senior center and makes her cry. The Senior males rally around her and Nathan apologizes by taking Georgie to dinner. The romance starts from there.
This book flowed very well. Even following three love stories at once, Marie Force seemed to intertwine them effortlessly. For me, the book lost a star for the insta-love, and it lost a star for Rosie. She was adorable, and I loved her, BUT she should have been written as an older child. There is no way a 3 year old acts the way Rosie does. Also, Ian should of put Cat in her place. She wasn't mean to Rosie, but she made it clear she didn't want anything to do with her. I don't think a dad as devoted as Ian would put up with that. I wouldn't. All that said, it was still a good story and a quick read. Well written. I will be picking up more of Marie's books.
